EJOT® JF3-2-5,5x25 E16 metal screw is a self-drilling sheet metal screw made of A2 (1.4301) stainless steel, designed for mounting photovoltaic structures on trapezoidal sheet metal roofs. The innovative EJOFAST® thread geometry ensures fast and chip-free fastening in the metal sheet, which eliminates the formation of corrosion spots at the point of insertion.
The screw is integrated with a stainless washer and a layer of vulcanised EPDM, which seal the mounting point and effectively prevent water from entering the fixing hole. As a result, the connection remains permanently tight throughout the entire service life of the installation.
Application in the mounting system
The screw is used to attach the mounting rail to the ridge of the trapezoidal sheet metal. The components are installed in a vertical arrangement — the screw passes through the rail and the rubber washer, entering the roof sheeting. The chip-free drilling technology means that no material shaving occurs during installation, which significantly reduces the risk of damage to the protective coating of the sheet metal.
