Threaded rod with an end bent at a right angle – for screwing into a metric thread and supporting or suspending items; property class 5.8 steel, bright zinc-plated
About the product
An angle hook with a metric thread is a threaded rod with an end bent at a right angle. It screws into an internally threaded component and is used to support or suspend items such as pipes, battens and brackets.
The hook's thread size is M6 — the anchor sleeve, nut or tapped hole must have a matching internal thread. The overall length H is 70 mm, measured from the end of the thread to the furthest point of the bent section. The thread length L1 is 54 mm, and the bent leg length A is 15 mm. These are nominal values according to the manufacturer's table. Screw the hook in to the depth required by the mating component and secure any thread projecting beyond that component with a locknut. After installation, align the end with the direction of the load; do not apply sideways loads to the hook at the bend.
Material: steel, property class: 5.8 (according to the manufacturer's data), coating: electro-galvanised. The zinc coating protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. Where exposed to salt, chemicals or persistent moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The manufacturer does not specify the hook's load capacity. The permissible load depends on the substrate and fixing method — it is specified by the design or the anchor manufacturer. Do not use the hook for lifting loads or for personal fall protection.
Selection and installation
- ✓Match the thread of the mating component to M6 – an anchor, nut or internally threaded sleeve.
- ✓Screw the hook in to the depth required by the mating component (available thread: L1 = 54 mm); secure any thread projecting beyond the component with a locknut.
- ✓After installation, align the end with the direction of the load; do not apply sideways loads to the hook at the bend.
Important
The manufacturer does not specify the hook's load capacity. The permissible load depends on the substrate and fixing method – it is specified by the design or the anchor manufacturer. Do not use the hook for lifting loads or for personal fall protection.
