Description
Aluminium ferrule for 16 mm steel wire ropes – EN 13411-3

ZLA 16 mm aluminium ferrule is a crimping sleeve designed for permanently joining and terminating steel wire ropes with a diameter of 16 mm. The product is made entirely of aluminium, which provides a low dead weight while maintaining adequate joint strength. The ferrule is manufactured in accordance with the EN 13411-3 standard, which guarantees consistent quality and the safety of wire rope slings made with it. The sleeve is a single-use component – once crimped with a hydraulic press, it forms a permanent, non-detachable connection with the rope, eliminating the need for bolted rope clamps in applications that demand high reliability.
Advantages of the ZLA ferrule for professional applications
- Ideal for producing wire rope slings in workshops and on construction sites – a permanent connection without the need for bolted clamps
- The aluminium construction ensures low weight, making it easier to transport and store large batches
- Compliance with the European safety standard for wire rope terminations – assurance of meeting requirements during technical inspections
- The oval cross-section of the sleeve allows two lengths of rope to be inserted freely before crimping
- The compact form makes it easier to form slings even in limited working space
