Description
Aluminium ferrule for 1 mm steel wire ropes – EN 13411-3

GMTA aluminium ferrule for crimping steel wire ropes with a diameter of Ø 1 mm, manufactured in accordance with EN 13411-3. The ferrule is used for permanently joining and terminating steel wire ropes — once crimped, it forms a secure connection used in the production of wire rope slings, guy wires and any structures requiring reliable rope fastening. The aluminium construction provides low weight and corrosion resistance, which is important for outdoor use. The ferrule is designed for crimping with hand tools or presses — the oval cross-section allows the rope to be passed through in two parallel strands and crimped securely along the entire length.
Key features of the aluminium ferrule
- Compliance with EN 13411-3 ensures consistent connection quality
- The oval ferrule profile makes it easier to position the two rope strands correctly before crimping
- Aluminium keeps the component light and naturally resistant to weather conditions
- Compact dimensions (5 mm length) allow use in confined spaces
- Versatile application — wire rope slings, guy wires, installation fixings
