Description
Aluminium Channel 40×40×4 mm EN AW-6060 – C/U Profile, Length 2000 mm

Aluminium channel 40×40×4 mm is a versatile open profile with a C/U cross-section, manufactured from high-grade aluminium EN AW-6060 T64 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38). Thanks to its favourable stiffness-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, this profile is ideally suited for aluminium structures, guide rails, frameworks, and mounting frames. The raw surface allows for further processing — anodising, powder coating, or leaving untreated for indoor applications.
The profile is easy to machine — allowing precise cutting, drilling, tapping, and bending using standard workshop tools. The symmetrical channel cross-section provides good load-bearing capacity whilst maintaining a low self-weight, making transport and installation straightforward even at height.

Applications
- Aluminium structures and load-bearing frameworks
- Guide rails, tracks, and cover strips
- Mounting frames and equipment enclosures
- Finishing and decorative elements
- Furniture and workshop equipment construction
- Modelling and prototyping
The EN AW-6060 T64 alloy offers good weldability and excellent suitability for anodising. Following T64 heat treatment, it achieves sufficient strength for structural applications not subject to dynamic loading, whilst retaining excellent ductility. The profile is available in a wide range of cross-sectional dimensions and wall thicknesses, enabling the optimum variant to be selected for any given project.
