Description

The adjustable bolt-down post base with plate is a durable steel connector designed for fixing timber posts to a concrete foundation. Thanks to its width adjustment range of 0–165 mm, it can be fitted to posts of different cross-sections, which removes the need to stock multiple bracket sizes.
The base consists of a bottom plate with four mounting holes, a ribbed bar that provides a secure anchor in the concrete, and two movable angled plates fixed with bolts. By sliding the plates along the guide rail, you can smoothly adjust the clamping width to suit the cross-section of the post being installed.
The base is made of thick sheet steel, which provides high rigidity and load-bearing capacity of the connection. The surface is protected with gold electro-galvanised zinc, which guards the component against corrosion and gives it a neat appearance. The design raises the post above ground level, effectively isolating the timber from moisture drawn up by capillary action from the foundation and extending the service life of the entire structure. The product is sold as a complete set, ready for installation.
