Description
Countersunk head, partial thread, TX20 drive, A2 stainless steel
About the product
A countersunk head screw is used to join timber elements. The countersunk head can be countersunk into the timber, and the TX20 recess is driven with a TX20 bit.
The 4 × 40 mm screw is partially threaded: the thread is 24 mm long, and the rest of the shank under the head is smooth. Choose the pilot hole for the type of timber; pre-drilling near the edges of the element is advisable to reduce the risk of splitting. The screw dimensions do not determine the load capacity of the joint – this depends on, among other things, the timber, the screw engagement depth and the joint layout, and is set by the design.
The screw is made of A2 stainless steel. Where chlorides are present, for example by the sea or a swimming pool, choose the material according to the exposure conditions and the design recommendations. Sold in boxes of 200 pcs; each box weighs 0.45 kg.
Preparing the installation
- ✓Choose the pilot hole for the type of timber.

- ✓Drive in with a TX20 bit.
Important
The screw dimensions do not define the load capacity of a particular joint. The load capacity depends, among other things, on the timber, the screw-in depth and the joint layout – it is set by the design.
