How to choose
- Target animal: choose between models for birds, rodents and martens, ticks, moles and voles, or forest animals.
- Power supply: options are a 230V socket, 12V car battery, built-in battery with charger, solar, AA batteries or a CR2032 battery.
- Location and protection: check indoor, outdoor or vehicle use. Protection ratings run from IP44 to IP65.
- Range and angle: most repellers state a 200 m range and a 120° angle. Some offer 250 m, or 180°, 270°, 310° and 360° angles.
- Spikes and fixings: select spike length and density, then glue or clips. Clips must match the PV frame thickness, 30 mm or 35 mm.

Frequently asked questions
Do bird spikes come with fixings?
No. Spikes are sold on their own without mounting components. Avik mounting glue and clips can be bought separately. The 50 cm strips can be glued or clip-fitted.
Do PV clips need drilling?
No. The black 30 mm clip fits on the edge of a 30 mm thick panel frame with no drilling. It weighs 5 g per piece. Clips are also available in 35 mm.
What temperatures does the mounting glue withstand?
The Avik glue stays flexible from -40°C to +120°C. It is waterproof, frostproof and resistant to prolonged UV radiation.
