Description
Washer head timber screw, zinc-plated, TX40, 8.0×100 mm – partially threaded – pack of 50

The Washer head timber screw in size 8.0×100 mm is a fastener for timber structures. The wide washer head clamps the joined components over a large surface area, while the Torx TX40 drive provides a secure grip on the driver bit during installation.
The partial thread, measuring 50 mm in length, allows the screw to pull the joined timber components together while the smooth shank passes through the component being fastened. This design is typical of timber screws used in joints where the head needs to bear over a wide area of the timber surface.
Applications
- Timber structures, roof trusses and carpentry components
- Joining beams, rafters and purlins
- Carpentry work on site and in the workshop
The screws are made from low-carbon steel with an electroplated zinc coating that protects the surface against corrosion. The product is supplied in a pack of 50 screws – one unit in the shop is the entire pack.
The screw shank has smooth and threaded sections, making it easier to pull the joined components together properly. The screw is well suited to applications where a large head bearing surface and a secure hold in timber are important.
