About the product

The fence post base plate is used to bolt a 100 × 100 mm gate or fence post to a foundation, concrete floor or plinth. It consists of a plate with fixing holes and an open square section with a vertical slot welded to the plate, over which the post slides.

The plate dimensions L × W are 150 × 150 mm, with Ø 13 mm holes at the corners. The section has external cross-sectional dimensions a × a of 93 × 93 mm, a wall thickness s of 3 mm and a height H of 150 mm above the plate. The dimensions are taken from the manufacturer's drawing.

The coating (powder-coated, green RAL 6005) protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. In the event of contact with salt, chemicals or constant moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The anchors and fixing method are specified in the fence design.

Selection and installation

• ✓Check the post cross-section – the base plate is designed for 100 × 100 mm posts.
• ✓Bolt the plate to the substrate through the Ø 13 mm corner holes; choose anchors or bolts suitable for the substrate – these are not included.
• ✓Slide the post over the section, check that it is plumb and secure the post to the section in accordance with the fence or gate system.
