Square tube insert 80×80 mm, anthracite (RAL 7016)

This push-in square tube insert provides a neat finish for the open end of square tubing. The flat external flange covers the edge of the tube and gives the end an even, uniform finish, while the ribbed internal section fits inside the tube.

Applications and selection

Inserts of this type are used in steel and aluminium structures where the ends of square tubes need to be protected from dirt and debris entering the interior. The covered tube edge is also less susceptible to damage during transport and use, while the structure gains a consistent, tidy appearance.

When selecting an insert, the nominal tube dimension and wall thickness are essential, as they determine how the internal section fits inside the tube. Dimensions, including the heights of the external and internal sections and the core and rib dimensions, are listed in the dimensions table below and shown on the technical drawing.

Installation

Push the insert into the open end of the tube. The ribs on the internal section fit against the inside of the tube and hold the insert in place, while the external flange covers the edge. No additional fasteners are required for installation.
