Square tube insert 60×60 mm, black, wall thickness 1.5–3.0 mm

The black Square tube insert 60×60 mm is a finishing component that closes the open end of a hollow section. Inserts of this type provide a neat finish and cover the open cross-section.

The insert is made of polyethylene. Its internal section consists of a core with fins which press against the tube walls when pushed in, holding the insert in place. The projecting head covers the edge of the tube and creates an even finish.

The finned design allows the same model to be used with tubes of different wall thicknesses, ranging from 1.5–3.0 mm. This is a practical solution for installation companies finishing support structures, frames and frameworks made from 60×60 mm square tubes.

Applications

The insert is fitted by pushing it into the tube opening until the head rests against the edge. The black colour is suitable where a dark finish is required. The product is sold individually.

When selecting an insert for a tube, the nominal cross-section and wall thickness are important, as the wall thickness determines the pressure exerted by the fins inside the tube. The 60×60 mm insert is designed for square tubes of this size.
