Description
Square tube insert 50×50 mm, grey
The grey Square tube insert 50×50 mm is a finishing component for closing the open ends of hollow sections. It is made of polyethylene and sold individually, so the quantity ordered can be matched to the needs of each project.
The insert consists of a flat external flange and a ribbed internal section that fits inside the tube. The ribs press against the tube walls and hold the insert in place. It is designed for tubes with a wall thickness of 1.5 to 3.0 mm, allowing one insert type to fit different 50×50 tube variants.

- Protecting the open ends of hollow sections with a 50×50 mm square cross-section

Selection and installation
When selecting an insert, the nominal tube dimension and wall thickness are important, as the ribbed internal section must fit inside the tube. To install, press the internal section into the tube opening until the flange rests against its edge.
Polyethylene is a material commonly used to make tube inserts. The external flange covers the edge of the tube, creating an even, neat finish at its end.
