Square tube insert 40×40 mm, white, wall thickness 1.2–3.0 mm

The white Square tube insert 40×40 mm provides a neat finish for the open ends of square hollow tubes. It is designed for tubes with a wall thickness of 1.2–3.0 mm, allowing one version to fit a wide range of tubes used in support structures, frames and equipment.

The insert consists of a flat flange that covers the edge of the tube once installed, and an internal section with ribs. The ribs conform to the inside of the tube and hold the insert in place once pressed in. It is made of polyethylene, a material commonly used for injection-moulded products of this type.

Applications and selection

Before purchasing, check the actual wall thickness of the tube, as this determines whether the ribs fit correctly inside. Inserts are installed by pressing them into the tube opening until the flange sits against the edge. The product is sold individually.

Tube compatibility

Three dimensions are important when selecting an insert: external section height C (the flange visible after installation), internal section height H (the insertion depth inside the tube) and tube wall thickness R. Matching the nominal tube size and wall thickness range allows the insert to be fitted without additional fasteners. Numerical values are provided in the specification tables below.
