Description
Square tube insert 40×40 mm, black, wall thickness 3.0–5.0 mm
The black Square tube insert is a practical finishing component for closing the open ends of hollow sections. It is designed for profiles with nominal dimensions of 40 x 40 mm and various wall thicknesses, making it suitable for many common steel and aluminium profile structures.
The insert consists of a flat flange that covers the edge of the profile and an internal section with ribs. The ribs press against the inside of the profile and hold the insert in place once pressed in, while the smooth, even flange provides a neat finish to the profile end.

Selection and installation
When selecting an insert, check the nominal profile dimensions and wall thickness, as these determine whether the ribs fit correctly inside the profile. The labels in the drawing correspond to the dimensions in the specification table below.
To install, press the internal section into the open end of the profile until the flange rests against its edge. Polyethylene inserts are commonly used to finish profile ends.
