Square tube insert 30×30 mm, anthracite

The Square tube insert 30x30 mm in anthracite (RAL 7016) closes the open end of the tube and gives it a neat, finished appearance. It is a practical component for installation companies that build support structures, frames and racks from hollow sections.

The insert is made of polyethylene. The external section forms a flat flange that covers the edge of the tube, while the ribbed internal section grips its interior. Inserts of this type close off the end of the tube and conceal the unfinished cut edge.

Application and selection

Inserts for hollow sections are used to finish the ends of steel and aluminium structures, such as frames, racks and supports. They are selected according to the nominal tube dimensions and wall thickness, so it is advisable to check both parameters in the specification before ordering. The dark anthracite colour complements structures with dark finishes.

Installation

Press the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge. The ribs on the internal section press against the tube walls and hold the insert in place, while the flat flange creates a smooth, neat finish.

Before pressing the insert in, ensure that the inside of the tube is free from cutting burrs that could make fitting difficult. The dimensions of the internal section and ribs, along with the wall thickness range, are given in the Dimensions table.
