Square tube insert 15×15 mm pyramid, black
Pyramid square tube insert 15×15 mm in black is a finishing element that closes the open end of a closed profile. It gives the profile edge a neat, uniform finish and protects the opening against accidental contamination of the inside.
The insert is made of polyethylene. The outer part has the shape of a low pyramid covering the edge of the profile, while the inner part is fitted with fins which, when pressed into the profile, conform to its walls and hold the insert in place.
Applications and selection
- protecting and finishing the open ends of 15×15 mm square profiles in steel and aluminium profile structures,
- use in visible places where a neat, black element closing the profile is important.
Installation
The insert is pressed into the open end of the profile until its outer part rests against the profile edge. The fins on the inner part conform to the wall and hold the insert in place. Before installation, match the insert to the nominal size of the profile and to its wall thickness.
Inserts for closed profiles are usually used in frames, bases, support structures and profile-based furniture. The black colour works well with dark profiles, and the lightweight polyethylene plastic construction does not add load to the finished element.
Matching to the profile
The insert is designed for square profiles with a nominal size of 15×15 mm. When selecting it, pay attention to the wall thickness of the profile, as this determines how well the fins fit inside the profile and how securely the insert is seated.
