Square tube insert 150×150 mm, anthracite

The Square tube insert 150×150 mm in anthracite (RAL 7016) provides a neat finish for open ends of hollow sections. It is made of polyethylene, and its ribbed internal section is pressed into the tube to hold the insert securely in place.

Inserts of this type are used to finish the ends of steel and aluminium tubes, including those used in frames, supports and bases of load-bearing structures. The uniform dark anthracite colour complements structures in similar colours, while the wide outer section covers the edge of the tube.

Applications and selection

Polyethylene is commonly used for this type of component because its flexibility allows the ribs to adapt to the inside of the tube. When selecting an insert, take into account the nominal tube dimension and wall thickness, and compare the internal dimensions and height of the inserted section with the specification.

To install, press the internal section into the tube opening until the outer section sits flush against its edge. The insert is replaceable and can be fitted when finishing the structure.
