Description
Square tube insert 12×12 mm, grey
The grey Square tube insert is a push-fit insert that closes the open end of a hollow section. It is made of polyethylene, and the outer flange covers the edge of the tube for a neat finish.
Application and selection
Internal inserts are used to protect the ends of steel and aluminium tubes in structures, frames, bases and equipment. This model is designed for square tubes with the nominal dimensions and wall thickness range stated in the specifications, allowing it to fit several tube variants with the same cross-section. When selecting an insert, compare the tube dimensions with the height of the internal section and the rib dimension.
Installation
The ribbed internal section is pressed into the open tube. The flexible ribs adapt to the tube walls and hold the insert in place, while the fixed-height flange sits against the end of the tube and conceals its edge.
