The SolarEdge S1200 power optimiser is an advanced solution for commercial installations that increases energy production efficiency through individual maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for each PV panel. A peak efficiency of up to 99.5% ensures minimal energy losses during conversion, while the rated input power of 1200 W allows compatibility with modern high-power modules, including bifacial modules.
Eliminating module mismatch losses
Each optimiser operates independently — reduced performance of one module, caused for example by shading, soiling, or uneven wear, does not negatively affect the others in the string. Individual MPP tracking for each module allows for continuous maximisation of energy production across the entire PV system.
Installation design flexibility
The S1200 optimiser enables the connection of modules with different orientations, tilt angles, and types within a single string. When used with SolarEdge inverters, it maintains a constant voltage in the string, allowing for longer strings and strings of varying lengths — thereby optimising the use of available roof or ground space.
Safety and monitoring
- SafeDC™ — automatically reduces DC voltage to a safe level of 1 Vdc when the grid or inverter is switched off
- SolarEdge Sense Connect — continuously monitors optimiser connectors, identifying faulty connections and potential faults for early detection and reduced risk of arc faults
- Remote performance monitoring at individual module level — enabling rapid issue detection and resolution by EPC and O&M teams
- IP68/NEMA6P protection rating — designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions
