SolarEdge P850 – 850 W PV Power Optimiser with SafeDC and MPPT
Description
SolarEdge P850 – 850 W PV Power Optimiser with SafeDC and MPPT

SolarEdge P850 is a power optimiser designed for individual maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of each PV module in an installation. The device is designed to work exclusively with SolarEdge inverters — by maintaining a high voltage in the DC circuit, it increases the efficiency of the whole system. The integrated SafeDC system automatically reduces the optimiser's voltage to a safe level in the event of inverter shutdown, disconnection from the grid, or fire, significantly improving safety for installers and emergency services. The optimiser supports a single input for series-connected modules, and performance data for each panel is available through the SolarEdge monitoring platform at the individual module level. Installation comes down to single-bolt mounting and connecting the MC4 connectors — allowing installation companies to reduce time spent on the roof and limit the number of additional components in the system.
Key benefits for installers
- Individual module-level MPPT — eliminating losses caused by partial shading or panel mismatch
- SafeDC system reducing voltage to a safe level when the inverter shuts down — compliant with the VDE-AR-E 2100-712 fire safety requirements
- Fast installation using a single bolt and pre-terminated cables with MC4 connectors
- Module-level monitoring via the SolarEdge platform — easier diagnostics and servicing
- Reduced BOS costs thanks to the ability to use longer strings and fewer fuses and installation boxes
