SolarEdge P1100 is a power optimiser designed for photovoltaic installations, providing individual maximum power point tracking (MPPT) at the level of each panel. This ensures the installation operates at the highest possible efficiency even under partial shading or uneven sunlight conditions — each module is controlled independently, eliminating the impact of a weaker cell on the entire string.
The optimiser maintains high voltage in the DC circuit, which directly translates into increased efficiency of the SolarEdge inverter. The built-in SafeDC system automatically reduces the circuit voltage to a safe level in the event of grid shutdown, inverter disconnection, or fire detection — thereby meeting fire safety requirements for PV installations.
Monitoring and diagnostics
Each P1100 optimiser sends performance data for its assigned panel to the SolarEdge monitoring platform. The installer and system owner can track the performance of individual modules in real time, quickly identify power drops, and locate potential faults — without the need for a roof inspection.
