The white Round tube insert Ø 38 mm is a finishing component for closing the open ends of tubular profiles. The ribbed push-fit section fits inside the tube, while the wide external flange covers the edge of the profile, giving the end a neat, closed appearance.

Applications and selection

Inserts of this type are used to finish tube ends in steel and aluminium structures, frames, support structures and equipment, where the open profile needs to be protected against dirt and edge damage. Select an insert by matching the nominal tube size and wall thickness to the range specified.

Installation

Push the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against the edge of the profile. The ribs on the internal section press against the tube wall and hold the insert in place. One insert closes one end of the profile.

Insert construction

The insert consists of a flat external flange that covers the tube edge and an internal section that is pushed into the profile. The internal section has a core surrounded by ribs that contact the tube wall.
