Description
Round tube insert Ø 20 mm, grey
The grey Round tube insert Ø 20 mm provides a neat finish to the open end of a tube. It is pressed into the tube, while the flat external flange covers the edge of the profile.
The shank of the insert is fitted with fins that press against the inside wall of the tube and hold the insert in place. The design is intended for profiles with a wall thickness of 1.0–1.5 mm.
Applications
- Closing the ends of round tubes in structures and frames
- Protecting the tube edge from dirt and preventing contaminants from entering the profile
- Providing a neat finish to visible profile ends in a neutral grey colour
- Adding small finishing components to mounting kits and equipment
Selection and installation
When selecting an insert, the outside diameter of the tube and its wall thickness are key, as these determine the pressure exerted by the fins. Push the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against the edge of the profile.
