Round tube insert 2" (Ø 60.3 mm), brown

The 2" Round tube insert is a finishing component for closing the ends of round tubes. It is fitted into the open end of the tube to provide a neat, closed finish.

The internal part of the insert has ribs that press against the tube wall and hold it in place. The wide external flange covers the edge of the tube and conceals its cross-section. The wall thickness range for which the insert is suitable is given in the specification below.

Inserts of this type are used to close open tube ends in structures and equipment where a neat edge finish is important. Covering the tube end also helps prevent dirt from entering the tube.

Selection

Before purchasing, check the tube's outside diameter and wall thickness and compare them with the dimensions in the specification. The height of the internal part, the core dimension and the rib dimension determine how the insert fits inside the tube, while the height of the external part determines how far the flange projects above the tube edge.
