Description
Round tube insert Ø 18 mm, grey
The grey Round tube insert for Ø 18 mm tubing provides a neat finish to the ends of round profiles. It is pushed into the tube, while the smooth flange covers the edge of the profile and gives it a finished appearance.
The insert stem is fitted with ribs that press against the inner wall of the tube and hold the insert in place. Inserts of this type are pushed into the profile opening without additional fasteners, making it quick to close the end of the tube.
Applications
- Protecting the ends of round tubes in steel and aluminium structures
- Finishing frames, support structures, railings and supports made from Ø 18 mm tubing
- Closing profile openings to limit the ingress of dirt into the tube
- Covering the sharp edge of a cut tube
Installation and selection
Select the insert according to the tube's external diameter and wall thickness, as these determine how firmly the ribs press against the inside of the profile. Before installation, ensure that the tube edge is free of burrs, then push the insert in fully until the flange sits flush against the end of the profile.
The insert is sold individually, allowing you to order exactly the quantity required for your project.
