Description
Round tube insert Ø 18 mm, black
The black Round tube insert Ø 18 mm closes the ends of tubes from the inside. The flat flange covers the edge of the tube, while the ribbed internal section fits inside the tube and holds the insert in place.
Applications and selection
- Protecting open ends of round tubes against dirt and edge damage
- Finishing tubular structures such as frames, supports and railings

Construction
The insert consists of an external section, or flange, and an internal section with a core and ribs. As with typical push-in tube inserts, the ribs flex during insertion to hold the insert in the tube. The flange covers the edge of the tube and determines the insertion depth.
Push-in inserts of this type are used wherever an open tube end needs to be closed. To install, push the internal section into the tube until the flange rests against its edge. The black colour and smooth flange surface give tube ends a neutral finish.
