Description
Round tube insert Ø 15 mm, grey
The grey Round tube insert Ø 15 mm is used to close the ends of round tubes. The internal section pressed into the tube has ribs that grip the tube wall and hold the insert in place.
The insert's external flange covers the edge of the tube, giving the end a neat finish. The supported tube wall thickness range is 1.0–2.5 mm, so one insert fits tubes with different wall thicknesses within the same nominal diameter.
Applications
- Closing the ends of round tubes with a nominal diameter of 15 mm.
- Finishing tubular structures such as frames, support structures and fittings made from round tubes.
- Protecting the open end of a tube against dirt and accidental damage to the edge.
Installation involves pressing the internal section into the tube opening until the flange rests against the end of the tube. Inserts of this type are used where the tube end needs to remain closed and no additional fasteners are required.
Selecting the right size depends on the nominal tube diameter and wall thickness. The insert consists of an external section, a core and ribs that grip the inside of the tube and stabilise the insert once pressed in.
