Round tube insert Ø 10 mm, grey

The grey Round tube insert Ø 10 mm is a finishing component for closing the open ends of round tubes. The closed tube end looks neater, while dust and small particles are prevented from entering the tube.

The insert consists of a wide head that sits against the end of the tube and covers its edge, and a ribbed inner section. The ribs adapt to the inside of the tube and hold the insert in place once pressed in. The product is designed for tubes with a wall thickness of 0.8 to 1.5 mm, allowing it to fit tubes with different wall thicknesses but the same nominal diameter.

Applications and selection

When selecting an insert, check the outside diameter and wall thickness of the tube. Inserts of this type are made of plastic and pressed into the open end of the tube.

Fitting in the tube

The ribbed inner section extends into the tube and holds the insert in place, while the wide head covers the end of the tube around the opening. The insert fits tubes with a nominal dimension of 10 mm. The height of the inner section determines the insertion depth, while the height of the outer section determines how far the head protrudes beyond the end of the tube.

The grey colour is suitable where the insert is intended to remain visible as a discreet finish to the tube. The product is sold individually, making it easy to obtain exactly the number of inserts needed for a particular project.
