Rectangular tube insert 80×120 mm, grey, wall thickness 2.0–4.0 mm

The grey Rectangular tube insert closes the open ends of hollow sections in steel structures, frames and supports. It is designed for sections with nominal dimensions of 80×120 mm and a wide range of wall thicknesses, allowing it to be used with different variants of the same section.

The insert consists of a flat external flange that covers the edge of the section and an internal section with ribs. The ribs press against the inside of the section and hold the insert in place once pushed in. The flange conceals the cut edge, giving the end of the section a neat appearance.

Material and application

The insert is made of polyethylene, a plastic commonly used for products of this type because of its flexibility and ease of insertion into the section. The neutral grey colour complements steel and galvanised components. Inserts for hollow sections are typically used to finish the ends of support structures, fences, frames and metal furniture.
