Rectangular tube insert 50×80 mm, black
A Rectangular tube insert is a finishing component used to close the open ends of tubes and hollow sections. It consists of a flat external flange and an internal ribbed section that is pressed into the profile opening.
The external flange covers the edge of the profile, giving its end a neat, closed appearance. The ribs on the internal section, arranged around the core, allow the insert to fit profiles with different wall thicknesses within the range specified.

Selecting an insert
Two factors determine the choice of insert for a hollow section: the external dimensions of the profile cross-section and its wall thickness, which determines how far the ribs engage. The insert is fitted by pressing the internal section into the profile opening until the flange rests against its edge. Before ordering, compare the dimensions of the profile opening with those of the internal section of the insert.
