Rectangular tube insert 40×60 mm, brown

The brown 40×60 mm Rectangular tube insert is used to close the open ends of rectangular hollow profiles. It covers sharp cut edges, protects the inside of the profile from dirt and gives the structure a neat, finished appearance.

Made from polyethylene, the insert has a flat external flange that sits flush against the end of the profile when fitted, and an internal section with ribs. The ribs adapt to profiles with different wall thicknesses and hold the insert in place once pressed in.

The brown colour allows the finish to be matched to similarly coloured profiles, for example in fences, railings or frames. Polyethylene is a lightweight material well suited to finishing components, and the insert is installed by simply pressing it into the open end of the profile.

The product is sold individually, making it easy to order the exact number of inserts required.

Selecting the right insert

When selecting an insert, consider the nominal dimensions and wall thickness of the profile, as these determine how securely the ribs fit inside it. When correctly selected and pressed in, the insert sits flush against the end of the profile and stays in place without additional fixings.
