Description
Rectangular tube insert 40×60 mm, anthracite (RAL 7016)
The anthracite Rectangular tube insert closes the open end of a rectangular hollow section. It gives the structure a neat, uniform finish and helps prevent dirt from entering the profile.
The insert is made of polyethylene and has a typical push-fit design: the ribbed shank slides into the profile, while the flat flange covers its edge. The ribs conform to the profile wall, allowing the insert to be fitted by simply pressing it in, without additional fasteners.
Selection and application
- Designed for rectangular profiles measuring 40×60 mm, within the wall thickness range stated in the specification
- Useful for finishing profile ends in support structures, frames and frameworks where the open section needs to be closed
- The dark grey colour complements structural components in subdued, dark colours
- Sold individually, allowing you to select the exact number of inserts needed for the project
Installation
Before installation, check that the profile's external dimensions and wall thickness are within the range specified for the insert. The end of the profile should be cut square and free of burrs so that the flange sits flush against the edge all the way around. Press the insert in fully until the flange rests against the profile.
