Description
Rectangular tube insert 30×40 mm, anthracite
The Rectangular tube insert 30×40 mm provides a neat finish for the open end of a hollow section. It is a push-fit component: the insert fits inside the tube, while the flat external flange sits against its end.
The insert has transverse ribs that hold it in the opening once pressed into the tube. The core and ribs have specified dimensions, and the external and internal sections of the insert differ in height, as shown in the dimensional drawing and table below. The insert is designed for tubes of one nominal size with different wall thicknesses, making it suitable for rectangular tubes with similar specifications.

- Closing the ends of rectangular tubes in load-bearing structures, fences and railings
- Finishing frames, racks, shelving and furnishings made from rectangular tubes
- Providing a neat anthracite finish to visible tube ends
Installation
Before installation, remove any burrs and swarf left from cutting the tube to ensure a good fit. Align the insert with the opening and press it in fully until the flange sits against the end of the tube. No additional fasteners are required.
