Description
Rectangular tube insert 25×100 mm, black, wall thickness 1.5–3.0 mm
The black Rectangular tube insert 25×100 mm is a finishing component for closing the open ends of hollow profiles. It is designed for profiles with a wall thickness of 1.5–3.0 mm, allowing one size to fit several profile variants with the same nominal dimensions.
Made from polyethylene, the insert is flexible. The multi-stage ribs on the internal section adapt to the inside of the profile and hold the insert in place, while the flat outer flange covers the cut edge and gives the end a neat finish.
Applications and selection
- Closing the ends of rectangular profiles in support structures, frames and frameworks
- Finishing visible profile edges in black to match dark structural components
- Selection according to the nominal profile dimensions and wall thickness
- Sold individually, allowing you to order exactly as many inserts as there are profile ends to close
Inserts of this type are generally used to protect the inside of a profile from dirt and to protect people and objects from the sharp cut edge. Before ordering, measure the external dimensions of the profile and its wall thickness, as both measurements determine whether the insert will fit correctly.
To install, press the insert into the open end of the profile until the flange rests against the edge. The end of the profile should be cut square and deburred to make the insert easier to fit and give the joint a neater finish.
