Description
Rectangular tube insert 20×80 mm, black
The black rectangular tube insert for 20×80 mm profiles is a finishing component for closing the open ends of hollow sections. It covers sharp cut edges, helps prevent dirt from entering the profile and gives the structure a neat appearance.
The insert is made of polyethylene. The external flange covers the edge of the profile, while the internal section with fins fits inside the profile and is held in place by a push fit. The fins adapt to different wall thicknesses, allowing one insert to fit profiles with wall thicknesses within the range given in the specification.
Applications and selection
- Closing the ends of 20×80 mm rectangular profiles in steel and aluminium structures
- Finishing frames, support structures, bases, railings and furniture made from hollow sections
- Selection according to the nominal profile dimensions and wall thickness
The insert is fitted by pressing it into the open end of the profile until the flange rests against the edge. The heights of the external and internal sections, the core and the fins determine the insertion depth and the internal profile dimensions for which the insert is suitable. The product is sold individually.
Before ordering, compare the nominal dimensions and wall thickness of your profile with the specification. A correctly selected insert fits securely in the profile, with the flange covering its edge evenly.
