Rectangular tube insert 20×80 mm, anthracite
The Rectangular tube insert 20×80 mm in anthracite (RAL 7016) closes the open end of a hollow section and gives it a neat, uniform finish. It is made of polyethylene, and the flat external flange sits against the end of the tube.
The internal section of the insert has ribs that slide into the tube and hold the insert in place. The insert is designed for tubes with a wall thickness of 1.5 to 3.0 mm, making it suitable for rectangular sections with nominal dimensions of 20×80 mm.
Hollow section inserts are generally used to protect the inside of the section from dirt and to cover the sharp edge left after cutting. Polyethylene is a common material for press-in tube inserts, and the anthracite colour (RAL 7016) helps maintain a uniform appearance in dark-coloured structures.
