A Rectangular tube insert is a simple finishing component that closes the open end of a hollow section. It protects the edge of the tube and gives the structure a neat, uniform appearance.

The insert consists of a wide external flange that covers the edge of the tube and an internal section with ribs that is pushed into the open end. Inserts of this type are secured by pressing them into the tube; the ribs press against the inner walls and hold the insert in place.

Before ordering, compare the external dimensions and wall thickness of the tube with the information in the Dimensions table. The insert is sold individually, so one piece closes one end of the tube.

Selection and installation

The labels on the technical drawing correspond to the parameters in the Dimensions table and help you check whether the insert fits your tube. The external section height indicates how far the flange protrudes beyond the edge of the tube, while the internal section height indicates how deeply the insert enters the tube.

To install, push the internal section into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge. Before fitting, ensure that the end of the tube is clean and free of burrs.

The polyethylene insert is lightweight and easy to handle. When ordering for multiple tubes, count all the open ends to be closed, as one piece fits one end.
