Description
Rectangular tube insert 20×40 mm, grey
Grey Rectangular tube insert designed for hollow sections measuring 20 x 40 mm. It closes the open end of the tube, providing a neat, even finish and protecting the interior from dirt and debris.
The insert is made of polyethylene. The flat external flange covers the edge of the tube, while the ribbed internal section is pressed into the opening and held in place by the ribs pressing against the walls. The ribs allow one insert size to fit tubes with different wall thicknesses within the range specified.

- Finishing the ends of steel and aluminium rectangular tubes
- Support structures, frames, railings, fences and furniture made from profile tubes
- Protecting open tube ends from dirt after cutting
- A uniform grey finish for visible tube ends
Selection and installation
When selecting an insert, check that the nominal tube size and wall thickness fall within the range given in the specification. Press the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge.
Once fitted, the flange covers the edge of the tube, giving the end of the structure a neat, closed finish.
