Description
Rectangular tube insert 20×40 mm, colourless
Rectangular tube insert for 20×40 mm tubes, colourless and made of polyethylene. It closes the open end of the tube, providing a neat finish and protecting the interior from dirt.
The insert consists of a flange that covers the edge of the tube once fitted, and an internal section with fins. The fins press against the tube walls and hold the insert in the opening. The wall thickness range given in the specifications allows it to be used with different tubes of nominal dimensions 20×40 mm.
Internal inserts of this type are used to finish the ends of hollow sections, for example in support structures, frames, stands and equipment. A closed tube end has a neater appearance and prevents dirt from collecting inside.
Installation and selection
Press the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge. The fins enter the tube and conform to its interior. Before purchasing, check the nominal tube dimensions and wall thickness against the specifications.
