Description
Rectangular tube insert 15×30 mm, anthracite

The Rectangular tube insert 15×30 mm in anthracite (RAL 7016) provides a neat finish to the open end of a hollow tube. Made of polyethylene, it is pushed into the tube, while the projecting flange covers the cut edge.
Inserts of this type are used on the ends of steel and aluminium tubes in support structures, frames, balustrades, furniture and racks. Closing the end of the tube conceals sharp cut edges and gives the structure a neat, finished appearance, while the dark anthracite colour complements components in similar shades.
Fitting and selection
- The internal section with ribs is pushed into the tube and grips its walls
- The ribs allow the insert to be used in tubes with different wall thicknesses within the range given in the specification
- The external flange covers the edge of the tube
- The insert is sold individually, so you can order exactly as many as you need for the number of tube ends

Before ordering, measure the external dimensions of the tube and its wall thickness and compare them with the values in the specification. An insert matched to the nominal size of 15×30 mm and the correct wall thickness fits securely in the tube, with the flange sitting flush against its edge.
Polyethylene is a material commonly used to make inserts and caps: it is lightweight, easy to fit without tools and does not scratch the surface of the tube during insertion.
