Description
Rectangular tube insert 11×70 mm, black
The black Rectangular tube insert is a finishing component that closes the open end of a hollow tube. It gives the structure a neat appearance and protects the inside of the tube from dirt.
The insert is made of polyethylene. The flat outer flange covers the edge of the tube, while the ribbed shank is pressed inside and holds the insert in place.
Applications and selection
- Closing the ends of rectangular tubes in structures, frames and equipment
- Finishing the open edges of steel and aluminium tubes
- Fitting tubes with the dimensions and wall thickness specified in the product data
Plastic inserts of this type are used to close the ends of hollow tubes. Before ordering, check the outside dimensions and wall thickness of the tube, as these determine how the ribs fit inside it.
Installation
Press the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge. The ribs on the shank press against the inner walls of the tube, holding the insert securely in place. A clean, burr-free tube end makes installation easier.
Construction
The insert consists of an external section, comprising a flat flange visible after installation, and an internal section with a core and ribs that fit inside the tube. The dimensions of the individual parts are listed in the specification tables below.
