Rectangular tube insert 10×20 mm, grey, wall thickness 1.0–1.5 mm
The grey Rectangular tube insert 10×20 mm is a finishing component for closing open tube ends. It is designed for tubes with a wall thickness of 1.0–1.5 mm, allowing one insert type to accommodate several material thicknesses.
The insert is made of polyethylene. The shank that fits inside the tube has several ribs that adapt to the inside of the tube and hold the insert in place. The external flange covers the cut edge of the tube, giving the end a neat, even finish.
Inserts of this type are used where tube ends remain visible after installation. They protect the edge from dirt, prevent contaminants from entering the tube and reduce the risk of catching on a sharp edge during use. The neutral grey colour provides a consistent, understated finish.
Selection and installation
- Before purchasing, check the nominal tube dimensions and wall thickness — the insert must match both.
- Press the insert into the open end of the tube until the flange rests against its edge.
- The ribs on the shank press against the tube walls and hold the insert in place.
