Rectangular aluminium tube 40×80×2 mm is a versatile closed profile made from aluminium alloy EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (PA38 / AlMgSi0.5). Thanks to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and natural corrosion resistance, this profile is ideal wherever lightweight construction and ease of fabrication are required — from frames and mounting structures, to balustrades and handrails, to aluminium structures in photovoltaics and construction.

The rectangular cross-section of 40×80 mm provides high rigidity at a low self-weight of just 2.51 kg per 2-metre length. The profile is easy to cut, drill, bend and join — reducing assembly time and helping to lower project costs.

The AlMgSi0.5 (EN AW-6060) alloy in the T6/T66 temper combines good mechanical strength with high ductility, making it easy to work with on site. The raw surface allows for further finishing — anodising, powder coating, or leaving untreated in non-aggressive environments. The profile is available in a range covering many cross-section sizes and wall thicknesses, enabling flexible selection to suit individual structural requirements.
