Description
Folding earth electrode with Morse taper lock Ø16×1500 mm – hot-dip galvanised steel
Folding earth electrode Ø16×1500 mm is a proven solution for creating vertical earth electrodes in lightning protection and earthing systems. Thanks to the Morse taper lock, joining successive rods is quick and requires no additional connectors — a single push is enough to achieve a permanent mechanical and electrical connection. The earth electrode is compatible with the PV-24-02 driving adapter.

How does the Morse lock work? The self-locking taper lock allows successive earth electrode rods to be permanently joined using the push-fit method. Importantly — the uniform diameter along the entire length enables earth resistance measurement during driving. In the case of earth electrodes with screw connectors, such measurement is not possible, meaning an additional site visit is required after driving is complete.
Application: the earth electrode is used to conduct and dissipate lightning current into the ground. The rods are driven in until the required earth resistance is achieved, giving full control over the quality of the installed earth electrode.

The product has been tested in accordance with EN 62561-2, in class H2 for a lightning impulse current of 200 kA, confirmed by BBJ-SEP testing. This ensures the earth electrode meets the highest lightning protection requirements.
