Fence post cap Ø 44.5 mm, black
The black Fence post cap Ø 44.5 mm is a practical finishing component for companies installing fences on round tubular posts. It fits over the top of the post, protecting the open tube from rainwater, leaves and debris.
The cap is made of polyethylene, a plastic that, unlike metals, does not corrode and is commonly used for tube end caps and fencing components. The black colour provides a discreet, uniform finish to the top of the post.

When selecting a cap, check the actual external diameter of the post. The general rule is simple: the internal diameter of the cap should match the external diameter of the tube it fits over. Construction
The cap is cup-shaped, with a rounded outer edge and a slightly domed area on top. Inside is a socket of depth h, into which the end of the post fits. The external diameter D determines the size of the externally visible rim of the cap. Dimensions D, d, H and h are listed in the specification below.
