Fence post cap Ø 40 mm, black
The black fence post cap Ø 40 mm is a finishing component designed to protect the top end of a 40 mm diameter post. Made from polyethylene, its round shape and slightly domed top close off the open end of the tube.
Caps of this type are used on fence posts to limit the ingress of water and dirt into the post and cover the cut edge of the tube. This gives the fence a neat appearance and protects the top of the post.

Selection and use
The cap fits over the top end of a tubular post. When selecting a cap, compare the external diameter of the post with the internal dimension of the cap given in the Dimensions table. The adjacent technical drawing illustrates the dimension labels d, D, H and h used in the specification.
Polyethylene is a lightweight plastic that does not corrode, making it suitable for protecting the ends of components exposed to moisture. The smooth black surface of the cap complements most dark-coloured fences.
