Equal leg aluminium angle 40×40×5 mm is a versatile L-profile made from EN AW-6060 T6/T66 alloy (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38). With equal legs measuring 40 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm, the profile combines high rigidity with low weight, making it an ideal structural element for photovoltaic installations, support frames, finishing work, and repairs.

6060-series aluminium in the T6/T66 temper provides excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion — the profile requires no additional anti-corrosion treatment under standard outdoor conditions. The raw (non-anodised) surface allows for further processing: anodising, powder coating, or leaving in its as-supplied state.

Applications

The 40×40×5 mm angle has a wide range of applications in installation and structural work. It is suitable as a reinforcing element for PV structure frames, stiffening of mounting profile connections, edge protection, and corner finishing. Its low weight — just approx. 1.03 kg per linear metre — facilitates transport and installation at height, whilst the rigidity of the profile allows mechanical loads to be transferred in lightweight support structures.
