Description
Countersunk timber screw, zinc-plated, TX25, 5.0×100 mm – partial thread – pack of 250

The countersunk timber screw is a structural fastener for timber, designed for strong carpentry joints. The Torx TX25 drive provides reliable torque transfer from a screwdriver or power driver and reduces the risk of the bit slipping during installation.
The countersunk head sits flush with the surface of the timber, giving the joint a neat finish without protruding above the cladding. The screw has a partial thread and a smooth shank with milling ribs typical of structural timber screws.
The shank is made of low-carbon steel with an electroplated zinc coating that protects the screw against corrosion.

Applications and selection
- Joining timber structural components such as roof trusses, frameworks and frames
- Carpentry work where the head needs to be recessed into the timber
- Fastening thicker timber components where the partial thread draws the joined pieces together
- The bulk pack makes it easier to plan stock for larger projects
Partially threaded timber screws are used where the thread needs to anchor into the receiving component while the smooth shank passes through the component being fastened. This arrangement draws the joined components together.

Choosing the length
When choosing the screw length, remember that the countersunk head is recessed into the timber and the partial thread must anchor into the receiving component. This compresses the joined components together and leaves the joint flush with the timber surface.

Screw for carpentry work
The screw's Torx drive and countersunk head make it convenient to install with a power driver, while the electroplated zinc coating protects the steel shank. Its partially threaded design is suitable for typical carpentry joints where the components need to be securely drawn together.
