The countersunk timber screw is a wood fastener intended for assembly crews and installation companies joining timber components, for example in timber structures. It is supplied in a convenient bulk pack, ready for use across multiple projects.

The countersunk head sits flush with the surface of the wood, giving the joint a neat finish without protruding above the component. The Torx recess holds the bit securely during driving and reduces the risk of the tool slipping.

Partially threaded timber screws are used to join wooden components: the smooth shank beneath the head allows the components to be pulled tightly together, while the threaded section anchors into the wood. The low-carbon steel construction with an electroplated zinc coating provides basic protection for the steel surface, while the golden colour of the coating makes the product easy to identify.

  • joining components of timber and carpentry structures
  • applications where the head needs to sit flush with the wood surface
  • installation using a power driver and Torx bits

Beneath the head is a grooved section, typical of timber screws, which helps the screw drive into wood. The thread with a notch at the tip is characteristic of structural timber screws.

The bulk pack of 500 provides a crew with a consistent, sturdy supply of fasteners for numerous timber joints.
